Formula

Combined Odds = Leg 1 × Leg 2 × … × Leg N (in decimal format)

Total Payout = Wager × Combined Odds

Profit = Total Payout - Wager

A push (tie) removes that leg from the parlay and reduces it by one leg.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a parlay bet?

A parlay (also known as an accumulator) brings several selections together into one bet. They all need to win for it to pay out, and because the odds multiply together, the potential payout climbs higher.

What happens when one leg pushes?

A push, which is a tie, simply drops that leg from the parlay. So a 4-leg parlay with one push turns into a 3-leg parlay, and the pushed leg is counted as odds of 1.0.

And what if one leg loses?

If any single leg loses, the whole parlay is gone. That’s the catch with parlays, every leg has to win (or push) before you see any payout.

Do parlays pay off over the long run?

Generally parlays carry a bigger house edge than single bets, because the bookmaker margin stacks up with every leg you add. They’re high-risk, high-reward, so they’re best saved for the right moments.
